Rosary of Saint Lazarus
Copper rutilated phantom quartz, Brazilian agate evoking various shades of contusions, pure silver hardware, and imported medal. To honor Lazarus, the Four-Days Dead; brother to Martha and Mary of Bethany; Dog-Lapped Leper.
These rosaries were fashioned from beads washed in a special cologne made on the feast of Saint Lazarus, December 17th. Each rosary was prayed over and made holy to Lazarus through emphatic prayer and presentation at his shrine. These rosaries were fashioned with the intention of supporting my beloved cabula, Cabula Mavile Kitula Kia Njila.
In honour of our cabula, the seven of us (Haus of Ophidious, Manticore’s Den, BaneXBramble, Lovi Artes, and With Cunning and Command) have come together to present a bounty of offerings born of devotion towards spirit and community alike. Crafted in cooperation with spirit and in service to our cabula, we are excited to share a collection of charms, devortional items, candles, perfume, and oils made to better serve the bonds between you and your spirits, while contributing their proceeds to the temple that nourishes our own.
Saint Lazarus is an important figure in many traditions but especially in South America, where he is called upon to cure illness and heal injury. Lazarus is often syncretized with the Haitian Lwa Papa Legba, and with the Yoruba Orisha Omolu. Within my practice, Lazarus has been a teacher of the necromantic arts, of healing magics, and of psychism. He has averted illness (and a certain pandemic in particular), risen the shades of the Dead for answers, and strengthened my psychic muscle through various baths, unguents, and remedies.
Use this rosary to connect with Saint Lazarus through prayer and devotion, but also to pray to the Dead and draw their shades forth with the aid of Lazarus. Wear it about the neck during acts of mediumship and divination, or when soaking in baths or washes to enhance your psychic abilities. This rosary will also protect against illness when hung about the neck or at the front door, and can be placed beneath the bed of the ailing to aid in their recovery.
Sold as curio only.
