Devil's Cloak Sorcerous Oil
This is an oil of invisibility, of hidden agendas, and of obscurity. Devil’s Cloak has evolved through the years and, as one of our oldest formulas, has seen multiple iterations from that focused on slinking around the cemetery without being seen, to hiding from divination and other practitioners’ scrying. This is its perfected and ultimate form, made to escape the sight and ire of those from whom we wish to hide. It is not a simple balm, but the Devil’s very cloak, rendered oleum obscurii.
To this end, powdered Frog and soot collected from the burning of brambles last Autumn, Henbane grown by the Devil himself, and an array of animal and herbal materia to support this base. This oil was enchanted by the Devil himself, but also under the auspices of Solar spirits and their 6th Pentacle, fit for operations of invisibility.
The Devil’s Cloak was fumigated with Frankincense and the hair of a black dog, washed in herbs of power, and fed with liquor containing various things that slither and crawl in the dark recesses of woods and ponds.
Use Devil’s Cloak as an anointing oil when you wish to go unseen, when the eye of authority is a threat, or when the gaze of others brings danger. Anoint four needles whose eyes have been broken and prick them into a black candle to obscure others’ sight so they may not gaze upon you or your work. These same needles may be stuck around a working which you do not wish to come to light, through divination or otherwise.
30ml dropper bottle. Sold as curio only.
