These silken-black pouches serve as repository for the lines of our ancestral spirits, containing herbal allies to ground them onto this plane and bolster their ability to avert danger, whether it may come in the form of a curse or hex, in the form of violence, or in the form of bad luck. Each bag is outfitted with an ethically sourced, human metatarsal, whose spirit has agreed to serve as intercessor and host to our ancestors, allowing them to walk this earth on its feet.
Each Ancestral Protection Pouch contains Lichen collected from the graves of various spirits of my local cemetery, as well as Graveyard dirt collected from its central cross, both of which serve to anchor our Dead and give them material space to occupy, easing their manifestation on this plane. Rowan leaves collected from a tree with whom I have formed various pacts serve to avert all danger and to elevate our Dead into power. Nettle root returns harm sent to us to its sender, and forms a hedge around us and our Dead, so that we may be protected from all harm. Lemongrass keeps us and our Dead clean and free of crossed conditions, bad luck, and parasitic spirits. Each pouch was sewn by myself using consecrated black cloth, and outfitted with a drawstring so that petitions, personal curios, and taglocks may be placed within the bag both as part of its activation ritual, as well as for future use.
